Day 2: Monday June 2 

Prompt: Write a story that begins with a ransom note….

“If you ever want to see the garden gnome again, you will put out all of your ripe strawberries on you front porch in a non-returnable container and turn off the porch light.”

Saturday A.M.

What another garden theft? My gnome has been stolen!  First it was the Mammoth Elephant Ear and Gerber Daisy, now Herald he has been with me since high school.  It is time for some payback, I draw the line at Herald!  An epic plan is in order.  EPIC I say!

1^st- Call the Police and report Herald missing.

2^nd- Buy notion light’s hang on porch post. Hide camera in Redbud Tree.

3^rd- Pick strawberries infest them with worms and grubs. Set them on the porch.

4^th- Get Herald back!

Usually, I do not get so upset about these things but it is Herald, the gnome of my life. So the plan may not be epic but it is something. Who knows if it will work but a girl got to try, right?
